Whether it's a slow drip you've been ignoring or a section of shingles the wind just took, Roof Repair Smedway sends licensed Roofing technicians throughout Ketchum, ID to look at it properly, not guess over the phone.
Nobody on our crew learned Roofing work from a training video. They learned it climbing real roofs in Ketchum, ID, in real weather, on jobs where a wrong call meant a callback.
Ask to see our Ketchum, ID license and insurance certificate and you'll have it in your hand before the estimate even starts.
We've replaced enough botched patch jobs from other companies to know exactly what corner-cutting looks like a year later — drywall stains, soft decking, mold nobody can see yet.
Proof of licensing before the first ladder goes up.
Someone answers, every time, day or night.
Every price is itemized, not eyeballed over the phone.
Faster arrivals because we're already close by.
Most emergency calls we get trace back to a smaller sign that went unnoticed for weeks or months.
None of the six signs below require an emergency call on their own, but each one is worth a scheduled inspection before it turns into something bigger.
Shingles shed their protective granules as they wear down, and a gutter full of grit is an early tell.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
Daylight visible through the attic roof boards means water has the same path in.
Sagging or soft drywall usually points to sustained moisture, not a single isolated drip.
A slow leak or failing ventilation can quietly drive up cooling costs before you notice the leak itself.
A bare patch after high wind is a direct gap in your roof's weather barrier that needs covering right away.
We split our work into specific service lanes because a wind-lifted shingle and a full system replacement need completely different crews and timelines.
These categories aren't marketing labels; they reflect how our crews are actually organized and dispatched across Ketchum, ID.
When wind or hail rips open a section of roofing, we tarp it fast to stop water intrusion, then schedule the permanent fix right behind it.
From a few cracked shingles to a complete tear-off, residential jobs get scoped against manufacturer spec, not a rough guess.
Flat roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water problems early.
A full tear-off strips the roof to the decking, replaces any damaged boards, and rebuilds with new underlayment and shingles to current code.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners documented evidence, useful whether or not a claim gets filed.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general repair crews often miss.
Four steps, no surprises in between — here's exactly what happens after you pick up the phone.
After-hours calls still reach a live line for anything time-sensitive.
A technician walks the roof and, when accessible, checks the attic side for the full picture.
Financing and insurance-claim questions are addressed at this stage.
A final walkthrough confirms everything matches the agreed scope.
If you've been burned by a roofing company before, these are the specific things we do differently, not just a promise that we're "better."
Crews based in Ketchum, ID reach Ketchum faster than out-of-area companies quoting a multi-week wait.
The number you approve in writing is the number on your final invoice, barring an approved scope change.
Our installers follow manufacturer spec on every underlayment overlap and fastener pattern, not general guesswork.
We'd rather send a crew back for a small fix than leave a homeowner unsure.
Storm-damage jobs come with documentation formatted for how most Ketchum, ID adjusters review claims.
If a repair solves the problem, that's what we recommend — we don't push a replacement to inflate the invoice.
Every job closes with a written workmanship guarantee, separate from whatever the material manufacturer already covers — if something's wrong, we come back and fix it.
We also guarantee the number on your estimate — barring a scope change you approve first, that's the number on your invoice.
If you ever need to use the guarantee, the process is a phone call, not a fight.
If your address sits just past our standard Ketchum radius, dispatch can usually still work something out.
Routes are planned around Ketchum's actual streets and access points, not a generic radius drawn on a map, which is part of why our arrival windows tend to hold up.
Coverage decisions are based on actual drive time from the nearest staged crew, not a fixed distance line on a map.
